Classification

1. The degree of Master of Pharmacy shall be a degree by coursework offered in the Faculty of Health.

Admission to Candidature

2.  An applicant for admission to candidature shall:

(a) have satisfied the requirements for admission to the degree of Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences in the University or to any other relevant degree at a standard approved for this purpose by the Pro Vice-Chancellor on the recommendation of the Head of School; and/or

(b) possess such other qualifications or professional experience, and/or other relevant attributes as may be approved by the Pro Vice-Chancellor on the recommendation of the Head of School; and

(c) have completed such other work prescribed by the Pro Vice-Chancellor on the recommendation of the Head of School.

Qualification for the Degree

3. To qualify for admission to the Master of Pharmacy, a candidate shall satisfactorily complete a program of study approved by the Academic Senate totalling not less than 240 units.

Credit

4. Credit for elective courses will only be granted for courses undertaken at 6000 level.

Program Duration

5. Except with the permission of the Pro-Vice Chancellor a candidate shall complete the program within 4 years of study from the date of commencement.
