PhD Scholarship for Indigenous Australians - Engineering and Built Environment

This scholarship is open to Indigenous Australian applicants who are interested in undertaking a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the University of Newcastle within the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment.
Research students will be required to enrol in one of Faculty's disciplines. This scholarship is aligned with the Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment and the Wollotuka Institute based at the University of Newcastle.
This scholarship is for one of the following fields of research:
- Chemical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Computer Science
- Industrial Design
- Electrical Engineering
- Environmental Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Materials Engineering
- Software Engineering
It is required that your study starts no later than 31 October 2014.
The value of this scholarship is AUD $30,000 (per annum). This award is to be used for living expenses. This scholarship is paid fortnightly for the period of up to 3 and a half years.
This scholarship is for study in Australia for those who have achieved outstanding academic results. To apply you must be an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. Only citizens of Australia may apply.
