Stunning Transformation for Huxley Library Space
Huxley Library's best kept secret - HC118 (the area downstairs under the Curriculum Resources Media Centre) has been transformed from a dingy underground bunker into - according to the University Librarian, Mr Greg Anderson, "one of the best spaces in the Library".
A new paint job, a well designed fit out, refurbished group study spaces and 70 new computers have converted the area into a clean, light-filled space that provides plenty of room for students to work intensively either by themselves or in collaboration with others.
"The area was always full, but it used to look like it was left over from the 1950's ," says Huxley Team Leader, Leone Clough. "Now I can't wait to show it to students - and they love it."
