Broadspectrum update
Many staff will be aware that UON’s head contractor for maintenance, Broadspectrum, is in the process of being acquired by Ferrovial.
Internationally active for more than 40 years, Ferrovial is a global leader in the design, construction, management, maintenance and operation of transport infrastructure and services to cities and other public infrastructure. Ferrovial has recently won new contracts in the US, UK, Poland and Canada and along with Australia, is forging a new market in Colombia.
Ferrovial will be expected to uphold the high standards of service expected of a head contractor and for which the tender was awarded. We have every confidence that UON will benefit from Ferrovial’s international experience and leadership.
Ferrovial has confirmed media reports that the provision of services at the regional offshore processing centres will finish before the end of 2017.
My team will maintain their focus on ensuring the head contractor model remains effective and efficient under Ferrovial.
