Law Alumni Win Lawyers Weekly ‘30 Under 30’ Competition
Three young Newcastle Law School alumni have been recognised for their outstanding work.
Lawyers Weekly recently held their annual event '30 Under 30' to acknowledge the high quality of work by lawyers in Australia under the age of 30. The event was open to all lawyers throughout Australia from private practices and in-house lawyers, who were under the age of 30.
At the event, three winners from each of ten categories were announced from a pool of finalists. As the competition attracts more than 200 submissions, being chosen as a finalist is an incredible accomplishment. Further, being recognised as part of the top 30 lawyers in Australia is an exceptional achievement.
Former Newcastle Law student Rebecca Silberberg was a finalist in the category of Intellectual Property while Jessica Norgard and Mitchell Thorp were winners in their respective categories of Intellectual Property and Banking and Finance. Mitchell Thorp was interviewed by Lawyers Weekly about his approach to legal practice and the important lessons he has learned in his career so far.
