Friends Art Fair
The artworks are streaming in for the Friends of the University of Newcastle 2014 Acquisitive Art Prizes and Art Fair sale.
Paintings by indigenous artist Myra Cook (courtesy Aboriginal and Pacific Art, Sydney) and acclaimed artists Leo Robba (courtesy King Street Gallery, Sydney) and David Middlebrook.
Artworks by local favourites such as Peter Lankas will be for sale.
There will be a selection of Indigenous artworks from the Central Desert, courtesy Many Hands Art Centre, Alice Springs and Aboriginal and Pacific Art, Sydney, including these works on paper by Lorna Kantilla and Alfonso Puautjimi.
Join us at the University Gallery on Friday 25 July from 5pm for the announcement of prizes and get your red dots ready for the Art Fair sale, which will commence at 6pm.
The exhibition will be open to the public from Wednesday 23 July to Sunday 27 July 2014. Opening hours: Wed–Fri 10am–5pm, Sat–Sun 12noon–4pm. Entry is free.
