After the Flood is an eclectic exhibition of embroideries that feature the biblical story of Noah’s Ark.

The exhibition is complemented by books and memorabilia and historical photographs of Hunter floods from the University’s Cultural Collections extensive archive which also includes an image of Noah’s Ark from a rare German Bible held in the collection.

Visitors to the exhibition at the Cultural Collections exhibition space in the University’s Auchmuty Library will be encouraged to make an online donation to the Queensland Premier’s Flood Appeal.

After the Flood will be exhibited in the University of Newcastle Cultural Collections exhibition space, Auchmuty Library, Callaghan Campus, until 20 February 2011.

For photo and image opportunities contact University of Newcastle Art Curator, Gillean Shaw, on 02 4921 5255.
