Newcastle students' ATARs released Thursday 16 December
Newcastle's HSC students will be able to access their Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) from 9am Thursday 16 December 2010.
ATARs are used for selection for admission to most courses at university.
Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and Global Relations), Professor Kevin McConkey, said an ATAR could change the options available to prospective students.
“If students received a higher or lower ATAR than expected, they may wish to explore their options,” he said.
To help students, the University of Newcastle will host an Advisory Day at the Newcastle campus (Callaghan) on Wednesday 5 January 2011.
“Our Advisory Day is a chance for students to seek helpful, personalised advice about the choices available to them.”
