Dr Karen Hitchcock, postgraduate student in creative arts and lecturer in medicine at the University of Newcastle, has released her first book - Little White Slips.

The book contains 13 short stories, many of which form part of Dr Hitchcock's recently submitted PhD in creative arts.

A book signing of Little White Slips will be held at 11am on Thursday 19 November 2009 at Borders bookshop, Kotara. Little White Slips is published by Picador.
