One of Newcastle's finest exports is returning home for a Baroque celebration.
Musica Viva presents Australian soprano, and University of Newcastle graduate, Miriam Allan in a reunion tour with virtuosic ensemble Ironwood.
A protégé of Dame Emma Kirkby, Allan has lived in London since 2003, performing with Europe's finest orchestras and choirs.
Ironwood has become one of Australia's leading chamber ensembles devoted to historically-informed performance in a wide range of repertoire.
Together they create a dual monument to Baroque masters Handel and Purcell that will delight and inspire audiences.
