Pakistan's perspective on regional security and global peace will be the focus of a guest lecture by the High Commissioner of Pakistan, His Excellency Mr Jalil Abbas Jilani, at the University of Newcastle next week.

Mr Jilani has been Pakistan's High Commissioner in Australia since June 2007 and has previously held diplomatic positions in Jeddah, London, Washington and New Delhi.

A guest of the Faculty of Business and Law, Mr Jilani holds a Bachelor degree in Law and a Masters degree in Defence and Strategic Studies.

Staff and students are welcome to attend.
