Engaging the Research-Teaching Nexus Symposium

Professor Barney Glover and Professor Kevin McConkey invite staff to "Engaging the Research-Teaching Nexus Symposium" on 3 November 2008, 9.00am - 4.00 pm, Industry Development Centre.

The Symposium will feature a keynote address from Professor Tom Angelo, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Curriculum and Academic Planning), La Trobe University. There will also be presentations from recipients of the 2008 Teaching and Learning Project Grants, poster presentations, a Research Higher Degree student panel, and a plenary session.

The Research-Teaching Nexus Symposium will focus on:

  • Teaching that is informed by research on teaching practice.
  • Teaching that incorporates one's own research on a specific topic.
  • Teaching in which students undertake a research project.

Morning tea and lunch will be provided.

Professor Glover and Professor McConkey encourage all academic staff to participate in this important activity.
