National Ride to Work Day

If you haven't ridden to work before, this coming weekend is a good opportunity to pump up your tyres and get ready for the day. Maybe you could go for a ride with friends or family or do a trial run into work?

National Ride to Work Day is taking place on Wednesday 15 October, less than three weeks away! The University of Newcastle has registered for the event; our team number is 664691. This is your chance to start your day another way or help others who want to ride for the first time.

The University will be hosting a free breakfast at both the Callaghan and Central Coast Campuses for all cyclists both staff and students.

Professor Trevor Waring, Chancellor of the University, is the event Ambassador and will welcome all cyclists to the breakfast at the Callaghan Campus. To attend the breakfast you must be formally registered in our *workplace team* by going to:

https://ride2work.bv.com.au/event and entering the University of Newcastle's Team Code: 664691.

Those who complete their registration by 30 September will go in the draw to win $5000 worth of holidays with Island Cycle Tours.

Three other great reasons to register include:

  1. GO in the draw to win one of 16 Trek bikes
  2. HELP your workplace win a Trek prize hamper in the TravelSmart Workplace Challenge
  3. JOIN in the fun and be part of this huge, national event and enjoy a free breakfast at the University!
