Nominations are now open for two student positions on the University Council. As the University governing body, Council looks after the affairs and concerns of the University, and promotes its interests and objectives. Council sets the University's strategic direction, and monitors its performance. It is similar to a Board of Directors.
Being a Council Member is great experience, and it puts you right in the engine room of the University. You have input into major decisions, and help shape the future direction of the University. It is also a great opportunity to experience corporate governance at a high level.
