The University of Newcastle is committed to promoting health and wellness opportunities for its staff. Supporting this, the university has joined with Newcastle University Sport (NUsport) to stage the 2008 Health & Wellness Expos at Callaghan and Ourimbah. And it's in August - the Olympic month - so let's go for gold and make the most of life!

Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Kevin McConkey will officially open the one day Expo at Callaghan in the Forum Sports & Aquatic Centre at noon on 6 August. At Ourimbah, the Acting Pro-Vice Chancellor & Director Central Coast Campus, Bill Gladstone, will host a staff morning tea at 10.30 am on 13 August in the Administration Building, near the Board Room where the Expo will be located. Both events open their doors to all staff at 10am and run until 2.30pm.

Staff will find a wonderful range of services and information available from academic experts and professional providers such as short break massages, dental needs assessment, cooking tips and travel safety. There are show bags and door prizes for fun too. Information on the day may include:
