Nominations for this year's Sports Awards close on Monday 31 March 2008. Award categories include Blues, Colours and the Sports Person of the Year.

Blues may be awarded to students for excellence in sport when representing the University.

Colours may be awarded to members of NUsport or Campus Central Clubs or representative team officials who have made an outstanding contribution to the organisation and administration of University sport over a period of at least three academic years.

Sports Person of the Year is awarded each year to the University student whose sporting achievements and sportsmanship during the previous academic year are deemed to have been the most outstanding.

The University of Newcastle Sports Awards will be presented on Friday 5 September 2008.
