University maintains top ranking

The University of Newcastle has maintained its place in the world's top 100 universities for engineering, technology and computer science.

The latest report by the renowned Shanghai Jiao Tong University Academic Ranking confirms the University is one of only four Australian universities in the world's top 100 for engineering, technology and computer science.

In overall performance across all disciplines, the University of Newcastle has maintained its place, with the initial data showing we remain in the top 400 in the world.

The report ranks research universities across the world by their academic or research performance, based on internationally comparable data.
