The University of Newcastle and TAFE-Hunter Institute are continuing to monitor the localised flooding around the Central Coast campus, Ourimbah.
Access to the campus remains a concern in some instances due to water covering the roads, and people travelling in the area are advised to exercise caution.
Due to access difficulties not all classes are expected to run this afternoon, and staff and students are still being advised to consider their own safety before making a decision whether to attend the campus today.
Staff and students already on campus are advised to leave before dark tonight, if possible. Further advice will be issued should the weather deteriorate.
The above advice was issued at 2pm.
