Thinking about studying at the University of Newcastle? Applications are now open through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) for degree programs commencing in 2008.

The University of Newcastle offers more than 90 undergraduate degree programs across a broad range of disciplines at three campuses - Newcastle, the Central Coast and Port Macquarie.

Vice-Chancellor, Professor Nicholas Saunders, said the University of Newcastle had a proven record of producing top class graduates.

"Whether you are in your final year of high school, changing career or furthering your education, the University of Newcastle has a degree program that can help you achieve your goals," Professor Saunders said.

"More than 82 per cent of our graduates are in full-time work within four months of completing a degree, which shows how valuable a University of Newcastle degree can be. Our graduates also have higher than average employment rates and starting salaries.

"The University of Newcastle was also recently confirmed as being one of the top 400 universities in the world, and in the top 100 for engineering, technology and computer science."

To help potential students make an informed choice about their future, the University of Newcastle will open its doors for a series of Information Days in August and September.
