Thursday 9 August - Friday 17 August 2007
The University Gallery
Artist: Glenn Henderson
An exhibition using the ocean's edge as a metaphor for constant flux between the land and the sea, and the cycles and rhythms of the creative process. Henderson, who is a lecturer in the School of Drama, Fine Art and Music, is profoundly influenced by music, poetry and literature in creating this ongoing body of work. In this exhibition, Henderson breaks his norm of practice in sculpture by exploring the relationship between his cast bronzes and two-dimensional paintings, as well as the effect of light travelling over these surfaces.
