More than 50 prizes will be presented to current students and recent graduates at the Faculty of Business and Law's annual awards ceremony this week.
Associate Professor Alison Dean, Assistant Dean for Teaching and Learning in the Faculty, said the prizes recognised the outstanding performance of business and law students in their academic programs in 2006.
"This ceremony is a celebration of scholarly success and many local and national businesses and organisations have established awards to encourage students in particular areas of study."
Recent graduate Paul Docherty will receive the Dean's Medal, which recognises the academic excellence of one student at the completion of their Honours program.
The Prize Giving Ceremony will take place on Thursday 24 May 2007, 5.30pm for 6pm, in the Brennan Room, Shortland Union, Callaghan campus. Media are invited to attend.
