Preserving art lectures

The University of Newcastle will hold a series of free lectures this week to raise awareness about simple practices people can apply to protect their artworks. Art Curator, Virna Rodriguez, said while art collecting had becoming more popular, people did not know how to care for the objects.

Speakers include Donna Robson from the Newcastle Region Art Gallery, Kay Soderlund from Preservation Australia on Thursday 29 March 2007 and Virna Rodriguez from The University Gallery on Friday 30 March 2007.
