University joins with NSW Police Force
In a first for country NSW Police, the University of Newcastle is equipping officers with leadership skills as part of a high quality, practical business course.
Twenty-five officers drawn from Local Area Commands between Gosford and Taree are currently studying a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration at the University.
The Northern Region, one of six in the State, is the first to offer this type of leadership training to its employees outside of courses offered through the NSW Police Force College at Goulburn. The first group of students is expected to graduate at the end of the year.
The University of Newcastle is a leading provider of corporate and executive business programs to organisations to help their employees address common management challenges.
