Top accolades for original Rip Curl surfboard creator

One of the original creators of Rip Curl surfboards and University of Newcastle professor, Terry Wall, has been named one of the top-ten Victorian surfers of all time.

The Chemical Engineering professor was given the title by Surfing Victoria at a dinner in Torquay, Victoria celebrating 50 years of modern surf board riding.

Professor Wall said he won numerous surfing titles at Bells Beach during the 60s. Still a passionate surfer, Terry Wall can often be seen ripping it up at Merewether Beach.
