University supports Firstchance

The University of Newcastle is continuing its strong support of helping our community's young children with special needs.
Firstchance is an early intervention program which is run through the University's Special Education Centre since 1976. The early intervention program recognises that family is the most important influence on the child. The program strives to support families to bring out their best in their child.
