Chancellor's cooking rocks!

Chancellor, Professor Trevor Waring AM, put his cooking skills to the test recently, taking out the award for the best rock cakes in the Men's Cook-Off at the Hunter on Show.

The Chancellor says the organisers of the Men's Cook-Off kept the recipe secret from competitors until the day to avoid them practising, so it was experience in kitchen that helped him win.

"It's all in the finger movements whilst rubbing in the butter," says the Chancellor, when asked about his recipe for success. "Recalling my wife's instructions over the years also helped!"

The Chancellor, who enjoys cooking, says he headed straight back to the kitchen after the win to work on his latest culinary treat - "the tastiest pumpkin soup this side of The Naked Chef!"
