O Week at the University of Newcastle

Friday 10 February 2006

Students commencing study in programs at the University of Newcastle will spend next week finding their way around the Callaghan and Ourimbah campuses as part of the annual Orientation Program.

Orientation Week (O Week) is a program of activities and information sessions designed to introduce new students to the social, cultural and academic aspects of University life.

O Week gives students the chance to become familiar with where they will study and what facilities are available to them.

Information sessions and workshops will be held across the campuses to assist new students with program and course options, enrolments and registrations, faculty and library locations and study survival skills.

The official start of the academic year will be celebrated at Commencement Ceremonies to be held at the Callaghan and Ourimbah campuses.
