The University of Newcastle's Research Group on War, Society and Culture will hold a forum on War, Terrorism and International Law on Wednesday, 21 September 2005.
"We are constantly hearing about war and terrorism," says Forum Organiser, Dr Roger Markwick. "But do we really know what war and terrorism mean from a legal perspective?"
Dr Markwick says the ongoing conflict in Iraq, recent events in London and Federal Government proposals to further strengthen Australia's counter-terrorism laws make it an appropriate time to look at war and terrorism from an informed legal perspective.
