Faculty of Business and Law Sponsors' Dinner

About 130 people including accountants, lawyers, students and lecturers will attend the Faculty of Business and Law Sponsors' Dinner this Wednesday 18 May 2005.

Faculty Pro Vice-Chancellor, Martin Fitzgerald, says this is an opportunity for Faculty staff and students of Business and Law to strengthen ties with the legal, finance and business communities.

"It is essential for the Faculty to be engaged with the business community that it serves."

"Many of our graduates go into practice with local legal, accounting and finance sector companies, and we as a university have to be aware of their needs so that our students graduate with the right mix to fit into current practice," said Mr Fitzgerald.

"Business and Law are very practical disciplines and the University must keep pace with what is happening in each of the professions to be able to deliver highly employable graduates."

The dinner will be held at Newcastle City Hall with 4 representatives from each of the sponsor companies.
