Get ready for Uni in O Week

Monday 14 February 2005

More than 8000 students commencing study in programs at the University of Newcastle will spend this week finding their way around the Callaghan and Ourimbah campuses as part of the annual Orientation Program.

Orientation Week (O Week) is a program of activities and information sessions designed to introduce new students to the social, cultural and academic aspects of University life.

O Week gives students the chance to become familiar with where they will study and what facilities are available to them.

Information sessions and workshops will be held across the campuses to assist new students with program and course options, enrolments and registrations, faculty and library locations and study survival skills.

O Week runs from 14 - 19 February 2005. Information about events and activities being held at the Callaghan and Ourimbah campuses during O Week can be viewed at the 2005 O Week website at http://www.newcastle.edu.au/study/orientation/
