Do you have a trade or degree qualification? Have you ever considered retraining to be a teacher but thought it was just too far to travel?
In 2005 the Faculty of Education and Arts at the University of Newcastle is starting the Bachelor of Education program, focusing on Industrial Technology in the Great Lakes District. Sandra Sirasch, Deputy Executive Dean of the Faculty of Education and Arts says, "The program will offer those that have a trade or degree qualification and other relevant experience to retrain to be teachers of Design and Technology."
"This program has the advantage of becoming a much shorter program, two-years full-time, after recognition of prior learning and industrial experience," says Sandra.
Places are available as fee places with a Fee-Help Deferred payment option.
