Now that HSC and UAI results have been released, potential university students have questions about degree programs and enrolment. To help answer these questions, the University of Newcastle will be holding Advisory Days in January 2005.
The Advisory Days provide prospective students with an opportunity to discuss UAIs and to get advice about program options, careers and alternate pathways to University. Representatives from all University Faculties will be available on these days.
The University's Student Recruitment, Careers and Employment Manager, Susan Eade, says the Advisory Days are for all prospective students, but may prove especially useful for people who have received a higher or lower UAI than expected, and need to know their study options.
She said that prospective students have until Thursday 6 January 2005 to change their preferences for inclusion in the Main Round of UAC offers which will be released on Wednesday 19 January 2005.
"People who thought they wouldn't get into the University of Newcastle might now find they can, and want to know more about changing their preferences," said Susan. "We will also be holding a University Information Session on Thursday 20 January 2005, once the Main Round offers have been released for prospective students to again discuss their options."
