School Relationship Program
In 2008 the Student Recruitment team will coordinate a Schools Relationship Program for the University of Newcastle.
This program will coordinate visits to Year 12 students at key feeder high schools by recruitment staff, Faculty staff, and other areas of the institution.

A Careers Advisers newsletter is written for careers advisers and prospective students to share news about courses, scholarships, admission schemes and promotional events. It is posted into high schools from Mid-North Coast to northern Sydney and also emailed to schools.

Year 12 school visits days: May and July
These days aim to give Year 12 students a taste of university life at our Newcastle (Callaghan: July 3) and Central Coast campuses (Ourimbah: May 2) with information seminars on degree programs, hands-on activities, exhibitions and campus tours.
Careers advisers workshops: May and July
Careers Advisers workshops are organised in conjunction with school visits days at Newcastle and Central Coast campuses and are designed to provide careers advisers with up-to-date information on new degree programs, career outcomes, admissions changes and new facilities.
Principals' breakfasts: February/ March
Principals' breakfasts provide the opportunity for key stakeholders in the school community to meet the VC, DVCs and PVCs and strengthen partnerships and synergies between the school community and the University. In 2008 Breakfasts were held at Newcastle and the Central Coast.
2010 Out to Achieve
This publication is currently under production. It will be available in May 2009. The publication is designed to introduce prospective undergraduate students to the University of Newcastle, our degree programs, career outcomes, professional recognition, the campuses and support services.
