Media training

Media training will be scheduled throughout 2007. Training for small groups can be arranged to suit participants' needs.

The Media and Public Relations team also provides interview preparation to help University staff for one-off interviews with the media.

Dealing with the media

At the University of Newcastle, teaching and research staff are encouraged to talk to the media within their specific area of expertise.

The Vice-Chancellor is the principal spokesperson for the University on matters of policy or corporate issues and will delegate this responsibility where appropriate.
