Advertising
Marketing and Public Relations manages all aspects of the University of Newcastle advertising across print, broadcast, outdoor and online media. All advertising must be booked and placed through Marketing and Public Relations, with the exception of staff recruitment advertising. This ensures consistency in communicating and promoting the University of Newcastle brand, and cost effectiveness in advertising expenditure.
Marketing and Public Relations offers the University of Newcastle a complete advertising service including:
- advising on University brand requirements
- recommending cost-effective, targeted media buying
- design and production of advertisements
- booking and despatch of advertisements within external deadlines
- invoice payments
In most cases advertisements produced within corporate templates do not incur design or production costs. Media placement costs are recovered from the requesting area.

Planning and booking your advertising in advance is essential to ensure you secure the best available 'spots'. To place an advertisement, contact your Faculty marketing contact / project officer in the first instance. You will find a list of University marketing contacts on our website.
Our Creative Coordinator (Advertising) writes, edits, produces and books advertising as requested by Faculties and Divisions to ensure professionalism, consistency of image and messaging, and value for money.
