Focus

Learning Development sessions will focus on:

Individual Consultations

These 30 minute consultations are available for all students who seek advice regarding their academic or English language concerns. Students are asked to come to the consultation with a particular question or focus in mind. Room 11.13

Assignment Writing

These writing sessions are closely aligned to the assignments within the two degree programs and the due dates. They aim to support students in developing their skills in order to complete their assignments.

Academic Skills Workshop

These workshops provide tips and strategies on coping with the required academic knowledge to support students throughout their studies. They suggest ways on improving and building on techniques to get the most out of studying at the University of Newcastle.

English Language Workshops

These workshops support Culturally and Linguistically Diverse students with their English language skills while completing their course. The primary aim of these workshops is to develop students’ English language ability while undertaking their studies.

English Conversation

The English conversation sessions are for all students who wish to practise using English terms and expressions that are relevant to their studies and for future workplace situations. The discussions offer students the opportunity to share their opinion and converse in English.
