Successful grants

• Peer Review project grant - A JMP project team have been successful in achieving a 2009 University of Newcastle Teaching and Learning project grant. The project aims to design a peer review of teaching system within the PBL curriculum of the Joint Medical Program. Consultations will take place with staff, including visiting clinicians and sessional PBL tutors, in order to explore and develop plans for the form of the review process. • Doctor-patient interactions with CALD students project - A University of Newcastle Equity Initiatives Grant 2009 will help enhance the success of medical students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds (CALD) in doctor-patient interactions, particularly patient directed counselling and behaviour change competencies.
