The University of Newcastle

University of New England (UNE)

Over half a century ago, UNE was Australia's first university based outside a capital city. Since then the University has built significant strength and expertise in a range of fields and has a strong rural standing in delivering health and science programs.

The School of Rural Medicine was established as a response to the need to address rural health workforce issues. UNE students' medical experience will include a range of settings but will offer students the opportunity for greater exposure to rural medical practice.
