Commercial Services has negotiated a revised Staff Purchase Plan that will mean better discounts for personal purchases across a wide range of Dell equipment including Dell’s Inspiron, Studio, Vostro and Studio XPS ranges, flat panel monitors, printers and projectors. Discounts range from 3% to 12% depending on the equipment. The discount received is on top of any online web or promotional pricing that staff can secure (such as TV special offers). Staff of the University of Newcastle can take advantage of discounted pricing from Apple on a range of personal computers including MacBook, MackBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, Mac Mini and Mac Pro.

NIB Corporate Health Plan
The University of Newcastle has negotiated an exclusive corporate discount for all staff of 8% ,which is a saving of up to $140 annually on Top Cover, as well as a 2 and 6 month waiver on all Extras. Claim up to 85% back on physio, chiro, dental, optical and more.
If you are with another fund, on a similar level of cover, any waiting periods already served will simply be carried across to NIB.

Travel – Crowne Plaza Newcastle
Commercial Services has negotiated a Flat Rate with the Crowne Plaza Newcastle. The negotiated preferred corporate accommodation rates offers a 27% discount on standard retail rates and are eligible for use by staff and students travelling for leisure purposes. The Crowne Plaza has developed a dedicated web portal for the university. Bookings can be made directly with the hotel or via the dedicated web portal

Travel - Novotel Newcastle Beach
Commercial Services has negotiated preferred rates for UoN staff and students. These over 50% discount rates for Studio and Harbour View Studio rooms include:

University of Newcastle staff have access to significantly discounted Qantas Club Membership, with 19% discount on the initial joining fee, and up to 66% discount on memberships.
