The Best Things

‘Tutorials in my courses are an essential tool to understand the material, very hands on, and the professors are very approachable. The courses are also structured differently from home in that the exams at the end of my psychology courses make up a lot of the grade. The health and psychology course really ties in well with my major and I gained a broader cultural perspective through all of my studies. ’

Newcastle Life

‘I think Newcastle is very similar to California. The people are very laid back and friendly; there is great surf and exciting nightlife. The local music scene is also very dynamic with many up and coming Australian acts and the venues are always comfortable and welcoming.’

My Advice

‘I would highly recommend Newcastle to anyone! Keep an open mind and let all of the experiences fill you with the excitement of living a different life in a different country. I would also recommend that you choose to stay for 2 semesters because I found that 6 months was definitely not enough time, and now I’m very sad to be leaving’
