Chose Newcastle

' Newcastle offered a course in Economics, and a strong on-campus residence through International House. The coastal location of Newcastle and the moderate size of the city also helped me to decide on Newcastle. '

The Best Things

' There is a large range of flexibility for an exchange student to take a variety of courses, and within the economics department there are a large range of courses to choose from. International House and the on campus residence has been terrific, allowing me to meet lots of new people.'

Future Studies and Career

' My studies at Newcastle will help provide another perspective to my degree at home, and the experiences here will help broaden my overall education, and help me in the pursuit of a postgraduate degree.'

' The people here are both friendly and helpful. There are lots things to do and see in the town. The opportunities to meet people on campus, in town or in other social settings - such as athletics - are numerous and lots of fun. '

Are you happy with the support?

' The support upon my arrival was fantastic and everyone in the services offices helped get me off to a great start. The introductory academic sessions provide a basic outline of the academic structure at Newcastle, and give you an opportunity to get the names of contacts within certain departments.'

My Advice

' Make the most of the opportunity to go on exchange and experience something different. Take advantage of the support systems and activities provided, and come over and meet tons of new people. '
