In order to be prepared for your first semester at University it is compulsory that you attend this information session. It is your opportunity to get to meet your International Student Advisor and get useful information about living in Australia.

TUESDAY 22 JULY

Shopping Tour to Westfield Tuggerah

The International Office is hosting a shopping centre tour departing Ourimbah campus by bus and travelling to one of the Central Coast's major shopping malls. Fashion, jewellery, electronics, whitegoods, bed linen, and food items are just some of the purchases available.

Cost: Bring enough money to pay for your bus fare and for anything you would like to purchase while shopping.

 

WEDNESDAY 23 JULY

Cultural Introduction at Callaghan Campus

AFL also known as Australian Rules Football or Aussie Rules is a unique Aussie sport. Come along and learn a new set of skills, gameplay, rules, kicking and passing. The session includes instructions from professional players, skills practice and game.

The AFL workshop will be followed by free lunch.

Following lunch you will have an opportunity to learn how to create your own "journey" on canvas using Contemporary Aboriginal Symbols and Art.  The class will be conducted by representatives from the Thungutti Tribe in Kempsey, Northern NSW.

Cost: $5 per person (Includes lunch, instructor, art supplies and canvas)

THURSDAY 24 JULY

In order to be prepared for your first semester at University it is compulsory that you attend your orientation day during O Week. 

The Orientation Day will be a whole day event including specific information sessions for international students, program and enrolment information, free lunch and entertainment.

Also enjoy our annual Campus Quest which will help you learn your way around the campus and meet new people in a fun, interactive and exciting way.

FRIDAY 25 JULY

Excursion to Australia Reptile Park

9.00am - 3.00pm

Student Support Building|Student Amenities traveling to Callaghan Campus

Come join us at this hands-on zoo for some close encounters with the park's scaly and furry animals.

See lots of Australian wildlife including 'Elvis' - NSW's biggest and crankiest crocodile. View native and exotic reptiles and spiders.  Have a photo with a giant python, a wombat or a cuddly koala.

Transport will depart Ourimbah Campus at 9.30am and will return to Campus by 2:30pm. Bring a packed lunch or purchase lunch from the kiosk at the park.
