Returning home

Your time at the University of Newcastle is coming to an end. We hope you have had a wonderful time with us. There are a few things to know about your return.

Results and transcripts

Students are able to access their exam results through MyHub. All Study Abroad and Exchange students will receive an official academic transcript via My eQuals. These results are verified and can be released by you to your advisor at home. If your home university will only accept a hard copy of your transcript,  please email study-abroad@newcastle.edu.au to make the request.  Hard copy transcripts can take 3 - 4 weeks to arrive.

Before a transcript can be issued, all outstanding fees must be finalised (eg. library fines, excursions, course materials, accommodation, etc). Any negative service indicator in a student's account due to outstanding balances will block transcripts from being issued, or a student re enrolling.

Additional transcripts, will come at a cost. Please visit the online shop for an Official Academic Transcript.

Appealing a result

For students that have returned home and need to appeal against a final result, a Request for Academic Appeal form must be completed and returned to the contact provided. Please read the form and policy carefully before submission.

Sharing your experience

Now that you have arrived home and are reflecting on the experience of studying abroad, you might consider sharing your experience at the University of Newcastle with other students at home.

Please contact your International Advisor when you get home to discuss possible options and your level of involvement. Ask if you can volunteer at your institutions next study abroad fair.
