HISTORIES OF SEXUALITY

“Histories of Sexuality” is a conference that will bring together historians and other scholars to consider the multiple and diverse ways sexuality was constructed, articulated and experienced in the past. We aim to draw together established and emerging speakers to think about sexuality in local, national, transnational, postcolonial and global frameworks.
Confirmed speakers at the conference, to be held by the water in Newcastle, Australia, include Matt Houlbrook (Magdalen College, Oxford); Joy Damousi (University of Melbourne); Steven Angelides (Monash University) and Barbara Baird (Flinders University).
