'Communicating Together' Speech Pathology Symposium

In December 2013, a three-day Research Symposium ‘Communicating Together’ in Speech Pathology will be held at the University of Newcastle.

The symposium program will include feature plenary talks by invited internationally recognised researchers Professor Nicole Muller (Linguistics), Professor Marilyn Nippold (Fluency), Dr Caroline Bowen (Child Speech Sound Disorders) and Professor Susan Balandin (University of Victoria, Wellington) (Disability and Virtual Worlds).  Additionally, the program will include presentations from early and mid-career researchers in Australia and will showcase the latest work from research higher degree students.

The papers presented on Day 1 and Day 2 of the conference will inform and stimulate focused research development discussions occurring on Day 3.

Closing session - Future research agenda

The research streams have a multi-professional focus and are not limited to speech pathologists. All key stakeholders are welcome to attend and provide their insights into research interests of relevance and inform the future research agenda of all involved.

A call for presentation proposals are now open. Call for Papers Form

Submission of abstracts: Extended Deadline is 15th July 2013.

Accepted papers will be announced on 1st August 2013.
