The University of Newcastle
The Global Education Research and Teaching group is focussed on researching the pedagogy and curriculum issues associated with Global Education at all levels of schooling/education. To date the key focus of the group has been on pre-service teacher education and issues for tertiary educators in implementing a global education perspective. A key issue for Global Education is one of definition and the research team has investigated multiple perspectives on the conceptual focus of Global Education, global citizenship education and the link between Global Education, globalization and critical education. Following preservice teachers into classrooms has ensued to gain an insight into how schools view these approaches.
