Study at University of Newcastle

The research culture in educational leadership, management and administration at the University of Newcastle is world class and attracts research students from all over the world to take up studies with our members.

To achieve its aims, ELMA relies on academic rigour, intellectual debate, and employing a wide range of methodologies. A particular current strength is theorising leadership practice using Bourdieusian / post-Bourdieusian social theory .

Potential collaborators and/or research students should examine the publication list and research profiles of ELMA team members to gain a sense of the scope of research interests and expertise. Initial contact with ELMA members can then be sought through email.

For students seeking postgraduate coursework in educational leadership, management and administration, the University of Newcastle offers an innovative masters degree Master of Leadership and Management in Education  with specialisations in school, higher education, and TVET leadership.
