Hanban is the executive body of the Chinese Language Council International, a non-government and non-profit organisation affiliated to China's Ministry of Education. Hanban was established in 1987 and is committed to making Chinese language and culture teaching resources and services available to the world, as well as meeting the demands of overseas Chinese learners and contributing to the formation of a world of cultural diversity and harmony.

Central China Normal University (CCNU) is a key normal university directly under the Chinese Ministry of Education.
