Industry Scholarships holds a range of events throughout the year to engage and recognise our current and future scholars and sponsors.

Prior to every event the Industry Scholarships office will send out an email to invite you to any events that are relevant to you.

Upcoming Events for 2012

Welcome Back to Scholars back from Full Year Placement (FYP) - Thursday 1st March

This event is to welcome back and re-engage with our scholars who have recently been on their FYP and are heading back into their last year of study in 2012.

Invitations will be sent out very soon so keep an eye on your email!

BBQ & Welcome to the IDC - Tuesday 13th March

We hold four BBQ's throughout the year. The first one will be in our new location at the IDC Centre (See the news page for photos and a map).

All our scholars and UoN Staff associated with the program are invited to come along. Come see out new office and become familiar with our new space. This will also be the first event for our new 2012 scholars, so come help them feel welcome.

Invitations will be emailed closer to the event.

BBQ - Wednesday 16 May

Come and enjoy some free food and mingle with other scholars prior to the mid semester break.

October 2011 and March 2012 Welcome Reception - Tuesday 22 May

As part of Scholar Week here at UoN we are having a informal event to welcome all our new scholars and sponsors from the October 2011 and March 2012 intake. This gives scholars, sponsors and Industry Scholarship staff an a chance to mingle in an informal setting while we welcome you to the program.

BBQ - Thursday 2 August

We set our BBQ's on a different day each time to give all our scholars the opportunity to attend. If you have not been to one this year, come along, grab a feed and catch up with fellow scholars and IS staff.

July Intake Welcome Reception - Monday 13 August

Again we welcome our new scholars and sponsors who joined the program in our mid year intake.

Annual Dinner - Friday 31 August

Each year we hold a formal dinner to celebrate the program and recognise the hard work and support of all our scholars and sponsors.
Please note that this years dinner is earlier than usual, so be sure to mark it in your calendar.

Placement Forums - 22-24 October

All current scholars need to attend a placement forum session each year. Scholar will nominate a session that works with their timetable. Session times will be sent closer to the event.

BBQ - Monday 29 October

The last BBQ of the year. Be sure to come along and check in prior to heading out on placement and enjoy the free food!

Farewell Breakfast - Thursday 1 November

This event is held for our scholars on the last year of their program in 2011. Sponsor representatives are invited to come along for some breakfast and photos with the scholars before they finish. The Industry Scholarships office presents all scholars with an award and a  little present in recognition of your hard work and completion of the scholarship.
