Age of the Host

Luke Thompson

sculpture

All sculptures were conceived in 2005 in my final year as an undergraduate.  The work obliquely references the host/guest relationship, which is also the fundamental motivation for my sculpture.

Spatial Recognition ll

Heidi Freihaut

digital installation

Spatial Recognition II continues to experiment with the female figure in public space. A labyrinth…each hall leads to another and then another. A rhythm is created by the interpretation of architectural space. Is the doorway a mode of entrance or exit?

Home-made Photos

Ray Heath

monochrome photography

An on-going project to build a simple large format camera to re-create a long-lost aesthetic that reminds the viewer that the image is more important than the equipment used;  images that are the antithesis of the modern, slick picture.

L- R East Greta Rails (detail); Self-Portrait Aug 05; Tenambit Gum  all images captured using simple lens home-made camera on fibre-based photographic paper negatives. Prints are on traditional monochromoe fibre-based paper, dry mounted and heat sealed
